| Historical Background | It was around the year 1995 that some Tamil brothers of Forest Side , residing in Forest Side for some years and they were having much problem to go to Kovil as the nearest one is found at the Terre Coupee. It was then that we set up an Association under the registered name of Forest side Tamil Association. We got on Lease a portion of State Land from the Government. We then raised funds around the island to construct the kovil and the first Maha Kumbabhisegam was held on 1st November 1999. |
